Call me Ruby.
Personality Traits: I get bored easily. I wonder what’s over that hill?
Ideal: Change. Anytime something becomes stagnant is the time to change it.
Bond: I search for my father. All I have is his name, but I know I will find him before I die.
Flaw: Sarcastic. Cannot seem to keep the snarky comments to myself. Even when I most definitely should.
My Mother was a bit of a wild child which I have inherited. She went on a wander and returned home to Little Witterring On Snoot with me as a baby. She always said my father was a dragon, which no one believed they just think she didn’t know who my Father was. She died when I was seven and before she died she told me my Father’s name was Sorcath and he was gold dragon.
I was taken in by my aunt Marigold who tried to raise me ‘right’ as she put it. She loves me. She just doesn’t understand me.
I was always getting into mischief throughout my childhood due to my curiosity about everything and anything. As soon as I was old enough I would sneak off for weeks at a time on adventures, returning with tales, trinkets and curios for my family.
While I was at home I’d help out at my family’s distillery where we make our signature fortified wine, hence Brandywine as our family name. We also make beer, spirits and wine.
I wasn’t a good apprentice as I haven’t really learnt the trade but I am able to tell good drink from bad and good from excellent.
This pattern continued till the Undead War came. I joined the rest of my nation in the blockade between the border.
My family on my Mother’s side consists of four aunts, Marigold the eldest who raised me after my mother died. She is also the head of the family. She is married to Ethan. They have nine children. The second is Gladiola. She is the third in age. She is married to Alric. They have six children. The third is Daisy. She is fifth in age. She is married to Issan. They have seven children. And the fourth aunt is Dandelion. She is sixth in age. She is married to Weylin. They have six children. My Mother Violet was the youngest of all her siblings. I have two uncles. Hawthorne is the second eldest after Marigold and is married to Hattie. They have eight children. My other Uncle is Ash. He is third in age. He is unmarried and likely to remain that way much to my aunts annoyance. He is the family member who understands me the best.
I have 36 cousins of which half are married. The rest aren’t old enough yet. I resist every attempt by my family to set me up with a ‘nice’ boy to make me settle down.
Little Wittering On Snoot is in the middle of the fertile farmlands of Laedry. We grow most crops locally but we’re most known for our orchards and vineyards which is why my family first settled here generations ago. My family is the oldest in the area as the village grew up around our farms. Like most farming villages it’s sleepy, peaceful and quiet. Which is just how the inhabitants like it thank you very much. Nothing of any importance ever happens here. Unless you count the last wedding as exciting?
